Windom woman charged with fleeing officer

Glanzer

WORTHINGTON -- A Windom woman was arrested Thursday afternoon after allegedly stealing items from Hy-Vee and refusing to immediately stop for a police officer in pursuit of her vehicle.

Morgan Glanzer, 26, faces a felony charge of fleeing a peace officer along with charges of theft and driving after revocation, both misdemeanors, in Nobles County District Court.

According to a police report, Glanzer left Hy-Vee without paying for about $75 worth of items, including a decorative lantern, cat toys, pens and body butter, and was spotted by management.

When a Worthington police officer pursued her vehicle along Oxford Street, she allegedly did not stop for about one minute — instead making several turns before coming to a stop on Pinewood Drive.

The felony offense is punishable up to three years and/or a $5,000 fine. Glazer was set to make her initial appearance in court Friday afternoon.
