Worthington woman charged following hotel room search

Gonzalez

WORTHINGTON — A Worthington woman arrested Friday at a hotel in Worthington faces two drug-related charges in Nobles County District Court.

Tania Gonzalez, 30, has been charged with fifth-degree possession of drugs — not a small amount, a felony; and possession of drug paraphernalia, a petty misdemeanor.

The charges stem from a Friday complaint to law enforcement made from hotel staff regarding an odor believed to be marijuana and several people exiting one room, the complaint states.

The complaint continues that a Worthington police officer located .6 grams of methamphetamine inside the hotel room. Gonzalez denied it was hers.

Gonzalez’s initial appearance in Nobles County District Court has been scheduled for Oct. 18.
